At 1kg and remarkably thin, the XPS 13 is the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop ever made. Touchscreen, backlit keyboard and Wi-Fi 7 – all come standard on every XPS 13. Options to upgrade to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Starting with the specifications, the Dell XPS 13 laptop will come in two options: the entry-level Intel Core Series 3 "Wildcat Lake" flavor and the higher-end Core Ultra Series 3 "Panther Lake" flavor. The memory is going to be 8 GB at the baseline and up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7467. Storage starts at 256 GB SSD & goes to 1 TB (PCIe Gen4). Graphics will be handled by the integrated GPU with 2 Xe3 cores on the Core Series 3 & 4 Xe3 cores on the Core Ultra Series 3. Display on the XPS 13 is a 13.4-inch 2.5K InfinityEdge Panel with a 2560x1600 resolution, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) of 30-120Hz, ideal for saving battery life when reading text documents, DisplayHDR 400 & up to 500-nits of brightness. The screen supports touch capabilities and is larger than the Neo's panel. As for the chassis itself, you get a CNC-Machined aluminum body with the XPS logo on the top, and one of the features that makes it more premium is the backlit keyboard, which is missing on the Neo. Dell specifically designed the XPS 13 laptop to be lightweight and slim. It measures 12.7mm & weighs 2.2lbs for the base configuration, that's under 1 kgs. The battery is a 52Whr design, and the laptop has been bundled with a 65W USB Type-C GAN adapter. Dell is promising up to 17 hours of battery life in streaming. IO on the XPS 13 includes two USB Type-C ports with DP2.1 and Power Delivery, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a Kensington Lock. Inputs include two dual-array microphones, a windowed-glass touchpad that supports multi-gesture. There's also a 2MP camera, which is 1080p HD resolution and features IR. As for speakers, you are getting a quad configuration with 2W Main x 2 channels + 2W Tweeter x 2 channels for a total of 8W of speaker output. In terms of pricing, the base configuration with the 6-Core "Core Series 3" chip, 8 GB of memory, and 256 GB of storage will be priced at $599. The Core Ultra Series 3 configs with more RAM & SSD will come at an extra. However, the $599 pricing is only for students 16 and above, while everyone else will have to pay $699 for the base configs.
