The Firefly Burner is now essential for completing the final stage of the Weather Monitor System project in Arc Raiders’ Shrouded Sky update. While the Comet Igniter required careful farming, the Firefly Burner drops far more reliably—though the enemies themselves are far deadlier up close.

Fireflies are the latest aerial threats introduced in the update, resembling Hornets but with a more aggressive fire-breathing attack. Unlike their cousins, these enemies will melt players if they linger too long, making precision the key to survival.

Where to Find Fireflies

Fireflies appear across all maps, but the most consistent spawns have been observed on Dam Battlegrounds, particularly around the Hydroponic Dome Complex and the swampy areas. This region is already a hotspot for flying arcs, but players should watch for nearby Rocketeers, which can complicate engagements.

The enemies are easily identifiable by their distinctive shape—a pointed, jet-like silhouette with a small metal plate on top, resembling a pilot’s hat when viewed head-on. Tagging enemies via the in-game interface confirms their identity if unsure.

How to Kill a Firefly

Fireflies share the same weak points as Hornets: their rear rotor fans and front armor plating. A Ferro can handle the job, but an Anvil is more efficient for quick takedowns. For those preferring explosive solutions, Seeker Grenades are devastating against flying arcs, as demonstrated during the Shared Watch event.

Unlike Hornets, Fireflies lack the luxury of dodging their fire—players must eliminate them before they close the distance. Hiding behind cover and picking them off at range is the safest approach. Once defeated, loot the corpse to claim the Firefly Burner.

Compared to other quests in the Shrouded Sky update—such as A Rising Tide or Worth Your Salt—securing this item is one of the simpler tasks. However, the Firefly’s firepower means caution remains essential.
