Keychron has expanded its portfolio of unconventional keyboards with the K3 Max All-Wood Edition, a low-profile mechanical keyboard that stands out for its walnut wood case and sleek design. This latest addition to Keychron's lineup continues the brand's trend of integrating unique materials into keyboard hardware, following previous models like the Q16 HE with a ceramic case and the K2 HE All-Wood Edition.

The K3 Max All-Wood Edition retains the low-profile form factor of its predecessor, the K3 Max, but introduces a walnut wood case that adds both aesthetic appeal and durability. Unlike some other all-wood keyboards, this model maintains a front height of just 10.7 mm, ensuring it remains compact while providing a comfortable typing experience. When keycaps are included, the overall height increases to 20.2 mm, which is only slightly taller than the standard K3 Max.

Available for $119.99 on Keychron's online store, the All-Wood Edition comes with two switch options: Milk POM linear red switches or tactile brown switches. While clicky and silent switch variants are not available, the keyboard features hot-swap switch sockets, allowing users to customize their typing experience with aftermarket switches if desired.

The walnut wood case is paired with a steel plate, providing structural support and durability. The keyboard also includes advanced wireless connectivity options, such as 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring seamless integration with various devices. A 1550 mAh battery powers the keyboard, promising up to 86 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Keychron's regular LSA keycap profile is used in this model, with double-shot PBT keycaps that are color-matched to the walnut chassis. This combination not only enhances the visual appeal but also ensures a comfortable and durable typing experience.

The K3 Max All-Wood Edition is a testament to Keychron's innovation in keyboard design, blending traditional materials like wood with modern technology to create a premium product that appeals to both aesthetics and functionality. It is expected to be a hit among keyboard enthusiasts looking for a unique and high-quality typing experience.
