Redditor Orders a Single WD Black SN7100 SSD, but Receives 10 Units Instead Who wouldn’t want free hardware, especially when it costs an arm and a leg? Such stories may or may not be 100% true, but considering that they do happen from time to time, it makes them more interesting at a time when the hardware is super expensive. RAM prices have started to decline in prices, but they are still 3-4X more expensive than they were in the pre-RAMpocalypse era. Related Story User Grabs 64 GB DDR5 RAM Kit For Just $6.99; Recommends Checking Liquidator StoresSome users can be seen receiving an additional RAM/SSD with their purchases, which mostly happens due to the retailer/seller's mistake. This happened with the Reddit user u/Bat-Dragon-666, who posted a pic of a box full of NVME SSDs. You might already be aware that SSD prices are still climbing, and getting an additional SSD or two is already extremely lucky. Now imagine getting ten times more. The Redditor says he ordered a single WD_Black SN7100 SSD and received Ten instead. These SSDs are high-end Gen 4.0 SSDs that currently cost nearly $200 on Amazon US. The price of the whole stack is nearly $2000. The user reveals the retailer's name, but such mistakes largely happen with large retailers like Amazon. The best part is that if it's Amazon, the user will be allowed to keep the shipment, as we have seen previously. Now he can either sell a few of those or even the whole stack and build a powerful mid-range gaming PC without spending an additional penny. This story sounds pretty familiar, and if you remember, a user received two boxes full of SSDs worth $5K a few months ago from Amazon. So, while such cases do occur, it’s not something you can count on happening to you. Sometimes, you can grab your favorite hardware for an incredible low price from your local Walmart or Costco.
