Life is Strange: Reunion, the upcoming title from Deck Nine Games, is poised to deliver an emotional finale to the journey of its beloved characters, Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Scheduled for release on March 26, 2026, this new entry in the acclaimed adventure game series promises a narrative that will leave players both surprised and deeply affected.
The story unfolds as Max returns from a weekend away to find her beloved Caledon University engulfed in flames. The campus, once a hub of activity, is now a scene of devastation, with the lives of Max's friends, students, and faculty lost in the inferno. Max escapes the destruction only through her Rewind power, which allows her to jump back in time through a selfie. With just three days to uncover the origins of the fire and prevent it, Max finds herself in a race against time.
Enter Chloe Price, whose arrival at Caledon is as shocking as it is unexpected. Haunted by nightmares of a past she never lived, Chloe's grip on reality begins to unravel, making her desperate for Max's help. This installment marks the first time in the series that players will experience the game from both Max and Chloe's perspectives, alternating between their narratives as the story progresses.
Max's Rewind power remains a central mechanic, enabling players to undo and redo decisions, change the course of conversations, and manipulate the environment to solve '4D puzzles.' Meanwhile, Chloe's Backtalk ability, coupled with her quick wits and attitude, allows her to sway key suspects and navigate situations that Max cannot. Together, they must unravel the mysteries surrounding the fire and confront the dramatic consequences that await them.
Deck Nine Games aims to build on the series' reputation for grounded storytelling, offering players meaningful choices that shape the outcome of a narrative that is both dramatic and surprising. The game culminates in an epic climax that serves as a definitive finale to the Max and Chloe saga.
The game will be available for pre-order on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99, with more expensive editions offering additional perks and bonuses. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99, includes the full game, a digital mini soundtrack, an art book, a comic, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary featuring actors Hannah Telle (Max) and Rhianna DeVries (Chloe).
The Twin Pack edition, available for $59.99, grants access to the last two games in the series, both in their Standard Editions. The Collector's Edition, priced at $99.99, includes a collector's goods box and sleeve with exclusive artwork by Ilya Kuvshinov, a 12 vinyl soundtrack featuring 12 songs from the game on an orange 12 EcoRecord vinyl, a double-sided drugstore makeup, a 24 x 12 poster, a Rewind symbol felt slipmat, three custom double-sided guitar plectrums with unique designs, and three Polaroid art cards celebrating Max and Chloe. The Collector's Edition is only available for purchase through the official Square Enix Store.
Life is Strange: Reunion promises to be a significant addition to the series, offering players a deeply engaging and emotionally resonant experience that will leave them on the edge of their seats until the very end.
