Gaming “Nioh 3 Is Great But Not Perfect; There’s Lots We Can Improve Upon”, Says Team Ninja Alessio Palumbo • at EDT Add on Google Team Ninja studio head Fumihiko Yasuda said that Nioh 3 is a great game but not a perfect one, with plenty of room for improvement. By all accounts, Nioh 3 is a great success for Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo. It was lavished with praise by critics (such as our own Francesco De Meo, who rated it 9.8/10 and called it the best game the Japanese studio has ever made) and fans alike, as confirmed by the fact that it's the fastest-selling game in the trilogy so far. That said, the development team is aware there's further room for improvement. Fumihiko Yasuda, producer for Nioh 3 and studio head of Team Ninja, confirmed as much in a candid interview with Gamesradar: Related Story Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Review – The Deepest Bond, The Darkest SecretNioh 3 is a great game, but it's not perfect. I think there are a lot of things that we could improve upon. We want to take that knowledge that we gained with Nioh 3 and open-field elements and to be able to work on that, and hopefully incorporate and improve upon that in future titles as well. While we were successful with the immersion as well as the density of the game itself, I think in terms of being able to convey a lot more about the world, the narrative element, I think we could improve upon that. As well as the artistic elements, to give it a more distinctive look. Really understand why the yokai, or why that particular yokai, is in that environment. And why does that environment look like that? I think we could have done a lot more to really convey that aspect. It's not just a game where you sort of go in there, defeat the yokai, obtain the equipment or items in that area. There's a little bit more to the narrative that we could have added. The team is also aware about another slight criticism levied by some fans: the lack of enemy variety. Again, they said the goal is looking into it and try to do better with future releases, so don't expect to see new enemies be added to Nioh 3. Did you buy the game? If so, how do you feel about it?
