Nvidia has rolled out an update to its DLSS 4.5 technology, marking a significant advancement in upscaling solutions for gamers. While not all promised features are immediately available, this update introduces refined Super Resolution models and expanded game support, offering users a more versatile and efficient gaming experience.
The new DLSS 4.5 update, accessible through the latest Nvidia Windows app, focuses on optimizing performance for 4K resolution with the introduction of Model L. This model is designed to deliver high-quality upscaling, complementing the standard optimized DLSS Model M. Additionally, a new preset, K, serves as the default for remaining DLSS modes, streamlining the user experience.
One notable aspect of this update is the manual override support for 77 additional games, allowing users to enable enhanced upscaling on specific titles. This includes popular games like Arc Raiders, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Europa Universalis V, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds 2. However, advanced features such as 6x frame generation and dynamic frame generation are notably absent in this release, with Nvidia indicating that these will be introduced in future updates.
The update is now available through the Nvidia app or can be downloaded manually. While it may not include all the advanced features announced at recent events, it represents a substantial step forward for DLSS technology, offering improved performance and broader compatibility for gamers seeking enhanced visual quality without compromising on frame rates.
