Samsung has officially settled the most hotly debated questions about its upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, offering definitive answers to the camera and battery size discussions that have dominated pre-launch conversations.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive with a 5,000mAh battery, contrary to earlier rumors suggesting a slightly larger capacity. The camera system, meanwhile, has been a particular point of contention—until now. The flagship will include:
- A 12MP front-facing selfie camera
- A 10MP 3x telephoto lens
- A 200MP main sensor
- A 50MP ultrawide camera
- A 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens
These specifications confirm the device’s imaging prowess, with a focus on high-resolution capture and advanced zoom capabilities. The inclusion of a periscope lens, in particular, aligns with Samsung’s strategy of delivering cutting-edge photography features in its premium lineup.
The device will also feature a dedicated camera island with a triple-lens setup, rounded edges, and a USB-C port, maintaining continuity with previous Galaxy Ultra models. However, Samsung has clarified that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not include Qi2 built-in magnets, ruling out compatibility with MagSafe accessories—a feature that had been speculated but ultimately omitted.
A standout innovation for the S26 Ultra is Samsung’s Flex Magic Pixel OLED technology, which enables a ‘Privacy Display.’ This AI-driven feature dynamically adjusts viewing angles to prevent lateral snooping while preserving brightness for the primary user. The technology represents a significant leap in on-device privacy, a growing concern in an era of increased digital exposure.
Additionally, Samsung has introduced a new noise reduction algorithm to enhance camera performance across the Galaxy S26 series. The goal is to deliver sharper, more detailed images even in high-resolution modes, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to photographic excellence.
Beyond specifications, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be available in several color options, including Cobalt Violet, Black Shadow, White Shadow, and Galactic Blue. These choices cater to a range of aesthetic preferences while maintaining the sleek, premium design expected from Samsung’s flagship lineup.
